MIGHTY NORTH FORK TRIATHLON

It's the 303rd day on ATHLETE and what better place to film in the summer than Long Island, NY at the 2007 Mighty North Fork Triathlon. This was the second triathlon I've attended and filmed (Tupper Lake was my first last week). I spent the weekend following athlete Artie and the incredible Achilles triathlon team as they prepared and raced in Southold, Long Island.

It's safe to say training for and completing a triathlon is a major committment and challenge for most everyday athletes. So you can only imagine how much energy, time, and effort it takes for disabled athletes to participate in the sport.

To witness this first hand this weekend was truly remarkable and inspiring. Glad I had the opportunity to capture it for the film. Thank you Artie, the Achilles triathlon team, and Victoria Belegrinos at Event Power.

Pics from the weekend are available on Flickr.
